The cold-side intercooler pipe for the 6.7L Powerstroke replaces the factory plastic pipe on 2011–2016 Ford F-250 and F-350 trucks. The OEM pipe cracks under high boost conditions. This upgrade uses mandrel-bent aluminum tubing, 4-ply silicone couplers and heavy-duty spring clamps to improve airflow and eliminate a known failure point.
What Does a Cold-Side Intercooler Pipe Do?
The cold-side charge pipe carries cooled, compressed air from the intercooler outlet to the throttle body inlet. Maintaining full bore diameter through this section reduces pressure drop, lowers EGTs, reduces turbo lag and improves throttle response — particularly under towing or high-load conditions.
