Three-sided enclosures from Habitat Haven are designed to be installed against a building. One side is open to meet a window, door, or even an opening you create with a pet door in the side of your home, garage, or outbuilding. The open end features a 6" lip all the way around the perimeter that is used for fastening the enclosure securely a building.

Habitat Haven catio enclosures are both modular and flexible. They can be made to fit nearly any scenario you can imagine!

Our array of various enclosure configurations and designs are available in hundreds of configurations here in our catalog. Combine them, mix and match, connect them with tunnels, bridges, stairs, towers and more!

Each enclosure is constructed from heavy-gauge galvanized steel wire that is then put through a coating process that adds extra durability to the finish. Our enclosures are made using the highest quality standards to ensure your enclosure lasts a very long time!

Important Details

Enclosures will arrive partially assembled for the purposes of safe and secure shipping. Instructions will be provided for assembly.

Mounting hardware - Fasteners (Masonry Fasteners/Deck Screws and Washers) are included. Securely holds to most surfaces. Contact us if you have questions about attaching to your building or home.

Build your own kit enclosures do not come with any holes created in the enclosure space to accept other components. The entry points are designed to be created on-site during installation to match seamlessly with tunnels, towers, bridges, and stairs. This allows for maximum flexibility during setup.

Please note that for Build Your Own Enclosure orders, wood shelves and wood floor are sold separately.

However, shelving is strongly encouraged. A minimum of 6 shelves per enclosure (2 shelves per side that does not contain a door)is recommended. Our enclosures are functional and structurally sound without shelving, however, not including shelves may lead to a slight curvature of the wire mesh panels (particularly on uneven ground.)

All three-sided enclosure doors are designed to open outward, measure 24” x 60” and can be placed on any side of the catio. If no option is selected, the door will be placed on the Right Side (C) by default.

The door swing is adjustable (left or right-hand swing) during assembly. Moving the door location is generally discouraged unless absolutely necessary. Door position changes affect the fabrication process, planning process, require custom instructions that may not be as easy to follow as our standard design, the chance for errors in these steps is much higher. As a result of the extra time and resources involved, other door options can be provided but additional fees will be required. Please contact us for details.

Assembly and Installation

Enclosures will arrive partially assembled and flat packed on a pallet. Assembly is straightforward for anyone who would consider themselves "handy." Paper instructions will be provided. It is recommended that at least two reasonably healthy people are present to install the enclosures. Knowledge of basic carpentry and assembly is helpful.

Clips will be provided that secure the enclosure together. In addition, a special tool for snugly fitting/closing the clips is also provided with each enclosure order.

Once unpacked, you will arrange your enclosure near or on the assembly site. Using provided 3 prong clips and specialty pliers, you will connect the edges of your enclosure by setting the edges until you have a fully enclosed and free-standing enclosure.

At that point, you can then attached to structure/buildings as necessary. Then you can create any needed holes in the enclosure to accept tunnels, stairs, or other accessory components as needed (holes are not made by Habitat Haven - they are made during assembly installation to offer maximum flexibility and minimize the chance for errors.)

Not the Fetch-Fest I Hoped For
Color: Orange
I had high hopes for the PetDroid Interactive Dog Ball, especially with the newly upgraded features and promises of durable, motion-activated fun. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to expectations for my furry friend. Here’s why I’m giving it 2 stars. Promising Features, Lackluster Results The idea behind this toy is fantastic: a durable, motion-activated ball that would entertain my dog without much effort on my part. The ball is supposed to roll around on its own, keeping my dog engaged and active. However, in practice, it just didn’t capture my dog’s interest. Durability I will give credit where it’s due: the ball is well-made and seems durable. It can withstand some rough handling, which is great for more aggressive chewers. Unfortunately, durability doesn’t mean much if your dog won’t play with it in the first place. Motion Activation The motion activation feature is hit or miss. While the ball does move around as advertised, it didn’t seem to move in a way that intrigued my dog. He gave it a sniff, watched it for a minute, and then walked away, unimpressed. I tried multiple times to get him interested, but he simply wasn’t having it. Lack of Engagement The biggest issue is that the ball just didn’t engage my dog at all. It might be more suitable for a different personality type or breed, but for my pooch, it was a total flop. He’s usually quite playful and curious, so I was surprised by his lack of interest. Final Thoughts Overall, the PetDroid Interactive Dog Ball might work for some dogs, but it was a miss for mine. If your dog is easily entertained by automated toys, it might be worth a try. However, based on my experience, I can’t wholeheartedly recommend it. Pros: Durable construction Motion-activated as advertised Cons: Did not engage my dog Motion activation wasn’t intriguing enough Might be more suitable for specific dog types or personalities If you decide to give it a shot, just be prepared for the possibility that your dog might not find it as entertaining as you hope. For us, it’s back to the drawing board for a more engaging toy.

Pup Loves It, Some Other Notes
Color: Orange
We've had this for about six months and my 75 lb, 14-month-old German Shepherd pup LOVES IT. Her favorite is "Crazy Bouncing Mode." In fact, she doesn't care much for the normal mode. She chews it a lot - even drops it in her water bowl at times - and it's still going strong. This is a great purchase. It's nice hands-off entertainment. Do know that it is heavy compared to a normal ball - if your pup likes dropping it on the ground like mine does, it will land with a hard "thud," even with the included sleeve. Hopefully you don't have downstairs neighbors. Also know that the cover that goes over the charging port is removable and your dog may choke on it if they chew it in just the right manner. Definitely only let the pup play with it while supervised. All in all, great toy.

Our German Sheppard loves these
Size: Medium
These cost a bit more than tennis balls, but they are so much nicer and longer lasting. For starters, they stay cleaner than tennis balls because they’re smooth rubber. Dirt won’t build up on them and if anything does stick, like grass or soil, it falls off once the dog slobber dries. They’re also thick, so they don’t fall apart or blow out like a normal tennis ball does in our dog’s jaws after 30 seconds. Our GS chomps on these like crazy and the only damage they’ve suffered is a crack that developed from the edge of the hole, but the crack is growing very slowly and none of these balls have totally failed yet. The balls do whistle when thrown ant high speed and that may help a dog track and locate it, but I’m not sure. Our neighbors hear the whistling too so it’s far from silent. Lastly the orange ball is easy to locate out in our yard, but the dark blue practically disappears.

Great for smaller dogs
Size: Small
These two balls are perfect for the smaller mouthed dog that loves to play fetch. These balls are not only super durable (lots of teeth biting), but float in the baby pool we use for our miniature dachshunds. The value here is much better than you’d find anywhere else. The noise, if bitten hard enough, was “low” at best. Easy to spot/find if overthrown. Will definitely buy again once these are in bad repair; so far, so good-love these for my fur babies!

My dogs favorite balls
Size: Medium
These are great for my dog who always has to have a ball in her mouth. Not too hard so I don't have to worry about her teeth. They last for ever. They do lose their shape a little over time (like I said, she always has a ball in her mouth) they become a little oval in shape. They still bounce, she still chases it and she still chews on it so I don't think she notices or cares. I've gotten her a bag full of these over time and I have only seen one that she chewed a chunk out.
