Compared to the maiden 2016, this vintage seems to unfurl extra layers of concentration and fruit brightness, but with much tighter orchestration. The nose is rocky and mineral revealing river gravel, graphite and grey slate with a perfumed Parma violet lift, blueberry, sweet red cherries, strawberry bon bons and rock candy confectionary notes. Mouth-filling and fleshy with impressive black berry and chalky graphite tannins. Lithe and elegant, harmoniously focused and confident with alluring savoury, sappy bramble berry finish.
