It has been said that the successful practice of medicine involves at least fifty percent experience and fifty percent art. The treatment of the complex chronic pain patient requires a fundamentally logical approach that respects the dynamic complexity of the nervous system and its neurohumoral and electrical mechanisms. Treatment needs to be dynamic and the underlying perpetuating pain generator needs to be diagnosed.

This book is a reflection of thirty years of experience treating thousands of patients. Through simplicity, logic, and science the book encourages three dimensional thought and describes successful decrease in pain and increase in functional capacity for many people. It is a process.

About the Author

Dr. Rachel Feinberg received her M.D. degree from the State University of New York at Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn, New York. She completed an anesthesiology residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. After sustaining a severe compound fracture of the right wrist which required three operations she became passionate about interventional medicine, biomechanics, rehabilitation and manual physical therapy techniques. The driving force was to ask why the patient developed the pain. She is athletic and very interested in movement and spinal stabilizing exercise such as pilates and yoga in addition to traditional aerobic and strength training exercise. She also feels strongly that functional medicine and accurate nutritional assessment leads to pain relief and increased functional capacity of mind, body, and soul.

He loved it
Is it durable? Not at all. Did he love it? While it lasted. Our dog is a monster chewer with toys so I go into every purchase knowing we might get 8 hours out of a toy if we're lucky, depending on visible durability. We don't even buy stuffies anymore because it's just not smart. He loved the squeak while it lasted, it's large so we never have to worry about him choking on it while running/being dumb. If you have a dog that will eat pieces of things as they destroy toys, this is not the toy for them. Ours plucks it apart piece by piece, but leaves the bits near one of us (LUCKILY!). If he didn't, we'd never buy this again. The missing star is just for lack of durability. Even for a rubber toy it felt like it didn't last very long.

I highly recommend and my dog loves it
I have a 80 pound bulldog who destroys everything he gets his mouth on. He loves this toy. He has not been able to destroy it. Not even a bite mark. He has to have this with him at all times (including during zoomies). I highly recommend it

Reed review don’t really recommend
Did not last very long with my larger dog. And honesty it was destroyed in about 15 minutes completely, and when my dog was tearing it apart, the chunks were large enough for my dog to choke on, so I would highly recommend watching your dog with this toy if they decide to chew it and tear it apart, so they don’t choke so this could be a possibly dangerous toy.

Best fetch toy for aggressive chewers.
Great toy to play fetch. I have aggressive chewer, and this works wonderful. Not heavy, and is soft, not like hard plastic. My dog loves them, (I bought 2). The bright color is easy to find, when you dog misplaces it. The price was very good, and well worth it. I recommend this toy, especially for retrieving dogs.
