The history of slavery is central to understanding the history of the United States. Slavery and the Making of America offers a richly illustrated, vividly written history that illuminates the human side of this inhumane institution, presenting it largely through stories of the slaves themselves. Readers will discover a wide ranging and sharply nuanced look at American slavery, from the first Africans brought to British colonies in the early seventeenth century to the end of Reconstruction. The authors document the horrors of slavery, particularly in the deep South, and describe the slaves' valiant struggles to free themselves from bondage. There are dramatic tales of escape by slaves such as William and Ellen Craft and Dred Scott's doomed attempt to win his freedom through the Supreme Court. We see how slavery engendered violence in our nation, from bloody confrontations that broke out in American cities over fugitive slaves, to the cataclysm of the Civil War. The book is also filled with stories of remarkable African Americans like Sergeant William H. Carney, who won the Congressional Medal of Honor for his bravery at the crucial assault on Fort Wagner during the Civil War, and Benjamin "Pap" Singleton, a former slave who led freed African Americans to a new life on the American frontier. Filled with absorbing and inspirational accounts highlighted by more than one hundred pictures and illustrations, Slavery and the Making of America is a gripping account of the struggles of African Americans against the iniquity of slavery.Binding Type: Paperback

Glitter with staying power
Color: Rainy-Rainbow, Color: Rainy-Rainbow
Super fun and sparkly, the color is beautiful, it comes with 2 glue tubes with brushes that you use to rub the glue onto your skin in order for the sparkle to stick better and longer, made a heart shape on my arm, dries fairly quickly and washes off easily when you're done with it
It sprays a fine layer and evenly, it's great for building on for more sparkle or to just have a light layer
Even without the glue it lasts at least a couple hours with minimal shedding and light use, seems to have good longevity
With 2 glue tubes, a refill tub, funnel and the glitter spray bottle I feel $10 is a great value considering everything you get with it, Overall I feel like it's a fantastic product and will buy again!

Super super glittery!
Color: Fairy-Diamond
Super, super glittery! I ended up returning because, believe it or not, it was too glittery for me! But it's a good product :)

Decent for the price.
Color: Rainy-Rainbow
The color is pretty, the bottle seems to be working well for now. The atomizer pump is so cute and makes me feel super dainty and girly! I love the xtra refill, the funnel and two glitter glues for makeup looks. The glue is good enough to hold the glitter but not too sticky where it leaves a nasty residue. So that’s a plus and it’s easy to wash off.
However, the glitter does not adhere or stay in place on dry skin. I’m assuming it’ll be great to spray on the body if you have some type of oil in for it to adhere too but haven’t tried it yet. Will update next weekend.

Love it.
Color: Rainy-Rainbow
This glitter is gorgeous on.
Really easy to apply, sprays evenly and a good amount at once. It wasn’t a nightmare to deal with either clinging to things it fell/rubbed onto which I was pleasantly surprised by. It cleans up very well.
A little goes a long way too, so it should last a while. It stayed on my body fairly well throughout the night too.
I have really sensitive skin so I was hesitant to even get glitter at all. I tried body glitter 2 years ago but it was a liquid spray kind and I broke out in an intense rash all over.
I also have a chronic hive condition so my skin flares up from products due to sensitivity.
I did not have ANY issues with this glitter.
