Dầu hào có màu nâu đen sánh mịn và vị thơm mặn đặc trưng xen lẫn một chút ngọt nhẹ. Chính vì thế mà khi nêm nếm cho món ăn nên điều chỉnh lại liều lượng cho phù hợp.
