The Jursla Felling Axe is a precision tool designed for felling trees and heavy chopping tasks. Its thin, hand-forged blade delivers deep, clean cuts, making it ideal for working through dense wood fibers. Despite its robust 3.3 lb. Montreal pattern head, the axe feels balanced and responsive, offering excellent control for accurate swings. A 32" curved American hickory handle provides strength, reach, and comfort for extended use. Crafted from high-quality Swedish steel at Hults Bruk, this axe combines traditional Swedish craftsmanship with durability built to last a lifetime. Its main applications are felling, splitting, and competing.

Product Overview

The story behind the name: Jursla Nature Reserve, with its ancient pine forests, stands as a sanctuary of time and wilderness near Hults Bruk. For centuries, these towering trees have watched over generations of craftsmen honing their art at the forge. The Jursla axe honors this untouched heritage - a tribute to resilience, endurance, and the wild beauty that continues to inspire our craft.

  • Historic Craftsmanship: Axe head hand-forged at Hults Bruk, a forge in operation since 1697
  • Premium Steel: Made from Swedish premium steel uniquely developed for Hults Bruk
  • Refined Finish: Hand-finished 3.3 lb. head with polished razor-sharp edge; expertly tempered to hold extremely sharp edge even after repeated sharpening
  • Quality Handle: 32” curved American hickory handle, sanded, treated with linseed oil, and engraved with the Hults Bruk logo
  • Complete Kit: Each axe comes with a vegetable tanned full-grain leather sheath, storage box, and detailed user manual

Product Highlight

Hults Bruk axe heads are forged from customized high-quality steel, with an alloy specifically engineered for this purpose, providing exceptional strength and performance. The steel is produced completely CO₂-neutral and is fully recyclable. Each head is hand-forged using the open-die free forging method. The axe head is then hardened and tempered for long-lasting durability. With a hardness of approximately 54–56 HRC on the Rockwell scale, these axe heads offer superior sharpness and edge retention. This axe has a polished head with convex grind edge; it is designed to be profiled and customized by the end-user. As one of the final steps in the forging press, each axe head is proudly stamped with the traditional Hults Bruk mark - a symbol of quality and craftsmanship.

These are the best pig ears for my dogs but they are too expensive. Bring the price down. After all they are just pig ears. ☺️

Will definitely get more for my pig ear loving boy!
Flavor Name: Pig Ear, Size: 8 Count (Pack of 1)
My shar pei mix baby LOVES these! He is about 4 months old, teething and always has food on the brain. These do the trick! One ear lasts him about 2 days if he is really going at it, sometimes longer. He will work on it for hours at a time. They have little to no smell. He chews them on his white dog bed and they leave no stains or marks. I love that there aren't any extra ingredients so I know exactly what he is ingesting. I will DEFINITELY be buying more of these!

Is Milo allergic to pig ears?
Flavor Name: Pig Ear, Size: 10 Count (Pack of 1)
Milo sniffed the pig ear, paused, and then took it to his spot to eat it. A few minutes later he started rubbing his head on the floor. I also bought the cow ears and he ate them with no problem. I’ve snuck him the occasional piece of bacon so I don’t think he’s allergic to pork. I love and trust Nature Gnaws.
