Cardiff's much-loved family-run department store, David Morgan Ltd, closed its doors in January 2005 having provided thousands of customers with unrivalled service for 125 years.

When Mr Morgan died on 21 April 1919, aged 86, his occupation was listed on the death certificate as 'Master Draper'. He left a great legacy to future generations of the Morgan family.

Thanks to the wonderful archive of pictures and memorabilia owned by David Morgan Ltd, the life and times of the company can be brought to life again in the pages of Brian Lee's account.

Staff outings, annual sports days and the famed Christmas bazaars and fashion shows are all remembered, and the book is sure to appeal to anyone with memories of shopping at this Cardiff store.

About the Author

Brian Lee was born and bred in Cardiff. He is a renowned writer on Cardiff's history and writes a popular nostalgia column in the local newspaper.
