Esperanska was born back in 2006 when Micky and Dom decided to found a band where they could merge latin ska punk with Portuguese lyrics and folk elements. Since then the line-up changed various times until 2011, now there are 7 members on drums, guitar, bass, trombone, trumpet and sax. 'Latin ska' does not match the whole variety of styles mixed up by the band anymore. The guys, rooted in Portugal, Germany and elsewhere around the Mediterranean create some fresh sort of crossover between folk, rock, ska, surf, swing and popular music. Their first longplayer 'Palhaçada' is recorded and mixed by Dermarco at their Burnin Tunez Studio and by Stefano Iascone (Figli di Madre Ignota, Roy Paci, Solidamor, Firewater ...) at RecLab Milano.
