The players featured are: Peter Allen, Sid Bishop, Steve Castle, Stan Charlton, Alan Comfort, Laurie Cunningham, Tony Grealish, Tommy Johnston, Peter Kitchen, Matt Lockwood, Dennis Rofe and Tommy Taylor.

About the Author

Matt Simpson is a Hackney-based journalist and lifelong Orient fan. He attended his first game at Brisbane Road in 1979, aged seven – a dreary 2–0 loss to Ipswich in the FA Cup.

Despite this, he fell in love with the club and has remained a supporter ever since. He can usually be found in the West Stand with a look of weary resignation on his face.
