No — BLDC fans require their own dedicated electronic controller. Using a standard resistor regulator with a BLDC fan can damage the fan's internal electronics.
Q: Will this fit a Legrand modular switch plate?
No. This is a non-modular regulator for standard Indian switch boxes. For Legrand modular plates, a modular fan regulator is needed.
Q: Why does the regulator get warm?
Normal — in a resistor-type regulator, unused electrical energy is dissipated as heat. Warm to touch at low speeds is expected and safe.
