From its launch on 18 January 2014, The Fourth Crown experienced a meteoric spike in popularity, finally hitting 250,000 page views on 16 May 2014. In less than four months, the publication amassed 1,378 Facebook page likes and 716 Twitter followers while garnering universally positive reviews from administrators, faculty, and students alike. In recognition of the positive impact the publication had on the college community, The Fourth Crown was awarded the 2014 Paul Magnuson Award for Outstanding Service and Leadership to the college. The Magnuson Award is the highest honor the college can bestow on its students. This book, a collection of the first 100 articles of The Fourth Crown, stands as an enduring testimony to the engaged, positive nature of the community of Gustavus Adolphus College, and to the tremendous camaraderie between the publicationÕs staff.
