This record was made in the library of a splendid nineteenth-century villa that belonged to the writer Fogazzaro, nestled in a pine forest whose magical and twilight atmospheres permeate this work. Paolo Birro plays a splendid 1930 Steinway&Sons D 274 Grandpiano that belonged to Arthur Rubinstein. Pieces by C.Porter, I.Berlin, Gershwin, J. Kern and others, in addition to original pieces by the pianist.
