Recreate one of World War II’s most unconventional fighter aircraft with the Heller Bell P-39Q Airacobra 1:72 Scale Model Kit. Representing the final and most significant production variant introduced in 1943, this static plastic kit captures the bold engineering that defined the Airacobra—most notably its distinctive mid-engine configuration and formidable 37mm cannon firing through the propeller hub. Compact in scale yet rich in historical character, this model reflects the rugged low-altitude interceptor that served with distinction in multiple air forces.
Molded in high-quality gray injection plastic, the kit features 41 precision parts designed with fine surface detailing typical of Heller’s classic aircraft series. Marking options allow builders to complete the aircraft in either United States Air Force 362nd Squadron livery or French “Ecole de chasse” Fighter School colors from Meknes, Morocco. The inclusion of underwing .50 caliber gun pods accurately represents the enhanced firepower of the “Q” variant, delivering a faithful miniature interpretation of its wartime role.
Measuring 128 mm in length with a 144 mm wingspan when assembled, this 1:72 scale model offers a balanced and display-ready footprint. Designed and manufactured in Trun, France, the kit provides an accessible yet historically rewarding project for enthusiasts aged 8 and above, making it an excellent addition to any military aviation collection.
