Discover the roots of country music with Vintage Country—an illustrated journey through 100+ pioneering artists, styles, and essential recordings.Vintage Country is the first illustrated book to explore the rural and urban roots of country music, tracing its evolution from early recordings and radio days to its 1940s–1950s rise, before Nashville’s dominance.
Written by renowned historian Tony Russell, it profiles over 100 key artists and bands, including Jimmie Rodgers, Doc Boggs, Taylor’s Kentucky Boys, Red Foley, DeZurik Sisters, Carl T. Sprague, Hackberry Ramblers, Hank Williams, Molly O’Day, Merle Travis, and the Louvin Brothers.
The book is organized into six chapters by style and era: pre-Depression “Old Time” music, Radio Years stars (1930s–WWII), cowboy & western music, Western swing, honky-tonk, and bluegrass. Each entry highlights the artist’s history, influences, and career, with an “essential recordings” list for quick reference.
Richly illustrated with posters, sheet music, and artifacts, Vintage Country brings the genre’s origins to life through evocative visuals and expert storytelling, making it a compelling resource for music lovers and historians alike.[AuthorName]By Tony Russell and Foreword by Scott B. Great find!
I used this on a prom bouquet and it came out beautiful. Soft dainty sparkles for the perfect shimmer. A convenient small aerosol container that I gave to my son’s girlfriend in case she wanted to touch it up or use it herself. I love the fact that it’s still stuck on my crafting desk. Very affordable and it served its purpose plus some!

The ultimate festival glow in a bottle!
**5.0 out of 5 stars - The ultimate festival glow in a bottle!**
If you want to be seen from space (in the best way possible), this holographic silver spray is exactly what you need. I bought this for a rave, and it exceeded all my expectations. Unlike other glitters that just look like silver specks, this has a true holographic finish that catches the light and shifts colors beautifully every time you move.
The "quick-drying" claim is no joke. I was worried about it feeling sticky or transferring onto my clothes, but it set in about 60 seconds and stayed put. I sprayed it on my hair, my collarbones, and even over my makeup, and it lasted through hours of dancing without fading or raining down "glitter snow" all over the floor.
I also love how fine the mist is. It’s a very even, shimmering distribution rather than big, chunky blobs of glitter, which makes it look much more high-end. It washes out of hair and off the skin surprisingly easily with just standard soap and water, too. If you’re looking for that perfect, effortless sparkle for a concert or party, this is the one to get. Just a fair warning: once you start spraying, you'll probably want to cover everything in it!
