What Makes the Cambridge the Right 3-Position Golden Chair
3-Position Recline — Simple and ReliableThe Cambridge reclines to three positions — upright for entry and exit, TV watching angle, and full recline for rest or sleep. The mechanism is straightforward and has fewer moving parts than infinite-position systems, which translates to long-term reliability for patients who use the same two or three positions every day and do not need continuous adjustment. The hand control has two buttons: recline and return to upright.
Classic Rolled-Arm DeLuna DesignThe Cambridge uses Golden's classic rolled-arm design — generously padded armrests with a rounded profile that provide a comfortable resting surface at every recline position. The DeLuna series build quality applies throughout: solid frame, quality upholstery options, and the same lifetime warranty on frame, lift, and recline mechanism that applies across the Golden lineup. The Cambridge is designed to look like a quality recliner, not a medical device.
Optional Heat & VibrateHeat and vibrate is available as an upgrade — adds a conventional heating element and vibration motors in the seat and back. For patients with arthritis, chronic muscle tension, or circulation issues who benefit from warmth during extended sitting, the heat and vibrate upgrade on the Cambridge is an affordable path to therapeutic heat without upgrading to a more complex chair. Adds 30–45 business days lead time.
Optional Straight LiftGolden is the only lift chair manufacturer to offer a Straight Lift option — the chair rises straight up rather than tilting forward, enabling safer caregiver-assisted transfers for patients who cannot lean forward independently. Available on the Cambridge — call to order. This is not visible in the standard online configurator.

Both are Golden DeLuna 3-position lift chairs at a similar price point. The key difference is size range and design style: the Elara PR-118 covers Small/Medium (4'0"–5'5") and Large (5'10"–6'2") with a gap in between, while the Cambridge PR-401 covers Small/Medium (5'1"–5'6") and Medium/Large (5'7"–6'2") with more continuous coverage across the middle height range. The Elara has a USB port on the hand control and a manually adjustable headrest; the Cambridge has the classic rolled-arm DeLuna design. Both offer the Straight Lift option. The Cambridge PR-401 is rated to 375 lbs — this is the confirmed capacity per Golden's warranty documentation, not a third-party estimate. Some resellers list it as 400 lbs; that is inaccurate. If the patient is near or above 375 lbs, call us and we will identify the right chair with confirmed higher capacity. 866-218-0902.
For patients who use their chair primarily for lift assist, TV watching, and sleep — and do not need to fine-tune back and footrest positions independently — a 3-position chair is simpler, more durable, and less expensive. The mechanism has fewer motors and fewer failure points. For caregivers managing a patient who uses the same two or three positions every day, there is less to learn and adjust. If independent zero-gravity positioning or Trendelenburg is medically recommended, then infinite positioning is necessary. If not, the 3-position Cambridge delivers excellent lift assist and comfort at a lower cost.

My guy loves the duck. At first the "different" ...

My guy loves the duck. At first the "different" sound put him off a bit but soon he was throwing his new toy all over the house. The reason I gave 4 stars is because my 8 lb. pup managed to undo the ducks braided legs and now they are nothing but a bunch of strings hanging from its body. Other than that he enjoys this toy immensely.

Cute and well made, fun toy for dogs of all sizes.

My small dogs luv this toy, especially the handle part for playing tug of war. My peekapoo is only 14 lbs. but he loves to get a grip on the handle with his mouth and tug really hard which also stretches the body and makes the crunchy noises! My chihuahua loves it too and she tries to grab the eyes with her mouth. It is a very well made toy with a squeaker and light stuffing in the head which makes me feel good about letting them play with it. It is strong and very cute and I think they will have it for a long time.

Octopus dog toy
My dogs love this toy! They love to play tug of war with it, using the rope legs. The legs will pull out if they are strong dogs! But if the dogs are having fun with it, it isn't a problem. One of my dogs has shredded some of the legs and put a hole in yhe body, but she is a strong chewer. There is a squeaker in the octopus body. They enjoy the toy, so I would recommend it.
