A beautiful vintage snake slave bangle from the early 20th Century built around a durable steel spring that has been wrapped in high-carat yellow gold. It’s lovely and smooth and finished with an engraved serpent head and tail at each end. 

Egyptian-style snake jewellery saw a revival in the 20th Century after an abundance of archaeological discoveries, most notably the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb brought about a fascination and desire for Egyptian-themed pieces across Europe.   

It’s a clever design and the spring expands so the snake can wrap comfortably around the upper arm.
