In mineralogical terms, Sugilite is classified as a cyclosilicate, in the same class as Tourmaline, Iolite and Beryl. Sugilite has a very complex chemical composition as a Potassium Sodium Lithium Iron Manganese Aluminum Silicate. Sugilite is found in Japan and the Khalahari Desert region of South Africa, Canada and India. Recent stone folklore rumors that Sugilite may reduce stress and relieve anger, as well as restore a sense of well being and enhance self esteem.
