In 2001, the Hobonichi Techo [planner] was launched after positive response from readers when asked if they would purchase a techo by the brand if developed. Since then, the Hobonichi lineup has grown from 1 to 7 types, with some being available in Japanese, English, and Chinese, and has sold over 10 million copies over the world.

For 2026, the A5 Cover will not be sold separately. It will be bundled with the 2026 Hobonichi Techo A5 English Cousin Planner Book.

A standard black cow leather cover with a soft touch and smooth texture. This cover was made in collaboration with graphic designer Taku Sato, who directs the design of the Hobonichi Techo. The “TS” of the cover name comes from his initials.
