The Large Mahogany Writing Desk is 63 wide x 37 deep x 31.5 tall. A classic and shapely fully constructed beautiful desk. The desk is 100 % hand made and hand carved in Mahogany and features details of Leaf and Rope Edge carvings. The back of desk features 5 drawers for storage and the top is a tooled Oscar writing surface. The desk comes fully assembled.
The desk is very unique and finished in a beautiful Vintage Classic (VC) a rich mahogany with a grey rub to accent the carvings and details. The desk is a hand made creation by Heritage, a fine hand made furniture collection , adhering to the standards of age old traditional crafting. Each piece is hand carved one piece at a time by some of the worlds best carvers. The special Mahogany wood used comes from replanted forests, the selected wood has been kiln dried.
The item in its final form is stress and pressure tested prior to finishing to insure long lasting stability in most all climates, a Heritage Brand standard. The final steps of hand making furniture is the application of the hand applied finishes.
The specialty finishes used combine hand applied layering, glazing, padding ,distressing and crackling techniques and complete the beauty and value of owning timeless Heritage Furniture, a quality that will last for generations of ownership.
