Advanced Orthomolecular Research (AOR) Green Lipped FFA
Green Lipped FFA is an extract of the green-lipped mussel, which contains forms of omega-3 fatty acids. These omega-3’s, eicosatetraenoic acid (ETA) and its precursor stearidonic acid (SDA), are not found in significant amounts in standard fish oils, and are potentially antiinflammatory agents.*
ETA and SDA attempts to improve stiffness and joint functionality and potentially decrease night pain in patients with rheumatoid and osteoarthritis.* They may also have benefits in bronchial asthma and premenstrual syndrome.* ETA and SDA may work by modulating the body’s production of inflammatory signaling molecules called eicosanoids.* Some eicosanoids might block inflammation, but others act as harmful pro-inflammatory signals. If the normal pathway of pro-inflammatory eicosanoids is blocked, they can be produced by an even more destructive pathway. Many antiinflammatory agents only block the first pathway, but ETA and SDA potentially block both routes of production. This is particularly important in autoimmune disorders.*

Recommended Use:
