The Akari Side Table belongs to the second category entirely. A single continuous piece of wood bends from the floor, curves around the top corners with the considered grace of a material pushed to its most elegant possibility, and flows back down to the floor on the other side — the entire shell of the piece in one uninterrupted gesture.
