Tim Röttgerging is de grote belofte. Behalve zijn baan als keldermeester van het beroemde Heymann-Löwenstein beheert Tim ook een krappe hectare familiewijngaarden in de Terrassenmosel, onder andere in de Grosse Lagen Röttgen en Roth Lay. Eerste oogst was 2020 en inmiddels is 2023 op de markt (terwijl buren al met 2024 te koop lopen). Tim houdt er niet van zijn wijnen te jong op de markt te brengen, ze vragen minstens een half jaar op fles vindt hij. In wijngaard gaat de jonge (32 lentes) Tim bijna rigide te werk. Zelfs werkgever Reinhard is er van onder de indruk. Alleen het beste fruit, rijp zonder botrytis gaat de kelder in. Niet zo rijp als bij HL, Tim houdt voor eigen wijnen van iets slanker. En droog bovendien, kurkdroog. Door bewuste oxidatie, pers en houtrijping, in de kelder komt bovendien het terroir meer naar boven dan het toch al sterke primaire riesling karakter. De wijnen zijn loepzuiver, precies en wel rijp dus. Naast Riesling is er bovendien ook heerlijke Spätburgunder, nu eens wel rijp rood uit de Moezel zonder de groene rauwheid. Zelfverzekerde wijnen met klasse en potentie. Röttgerding is een trotse importeur rijker.

Had for just over 9 years now and still pretty solid

I ordered this chair back in December 2015 for our front office, and it's been moved to our back shop where we fabricate. We're not a gentle work space by any stretch of the imagination; we build stuff and it's messy, lots of tools etc. This chair has held up surprisingly well! The faux leather is delaminating almost entirely on the seat but honestly, I'd expect that for faux leather on something that is used daily. The seat pad, in my opinion, has gotten de-poofed. So it's not plush anymore but still usable. I've asked the guy that's using it if they want an upgrade/update and they said they like it and don't want to change it out just yet. That's saying something! The size is nice and wide. We've had a range of differently sized folks sit in the chair over the years and the seat was always comfortable (less now without so much seat poof), I was able to sit cross-legged and the whole chair felt sturdy then as it does now. All of the standards functions you'd want an office chair to do, it can still do: it goes up and down smoothly, it rolls just fine, it's still pivot-reclines comfortably and doesn't feel like it's going to topple. I like it!
