OSTKREUZ steht dabei fr eine bestimmte Vorgehensweise, nmlich den Kern der Dinge zu erkennen, ihn abzubilden und in diesem Abbilden ehrlich zu bleiben. Die
Mittlerweile leben weltweit mehr Menschen in Städten als auf dem Land. Welche Hoffnungen und Wünsche verbinden sie mit der Stadt? Auf welche Weise prägt die Stadt ihren Alltag und ihre Beziehungen zu Umwelt und Mitmenschen? Die Fotografen der Berliner Agentur OSTKREUZ sind diesen Fragen nachgegangen. OSTKREUZ steht dabei für eine bestimmte Vorgehensweise, nämlich den Kern der Dinge zu erkennen, ihn abzubilden und in diesem Abbilden ehrlich zu bleiben. Die 18 Fotografen porträtieren die Bewohner der Stadtutopie Auroville in Indien, der Slums von Manila und des von der Mitte aus zerfallenden Detroit, sie dokumentieren das am Reißbrett entstandene chinesische Ordos, die Künstlichkeit der Straßenzüge Dubais und die zerbombten Häuser von Gaza. Was am Ende aufscheint, ist das Porträt einer Stadt, die alle Städte ist.Diese Publikation wurde durch die Stiftung Kunstfonds mit Mitteln der VG Bild-Kunst, Bonn gefördert.

The best toy my dog has

Our lab mix is a very ambitious chewer - forget retrieving... he seems to think his "job" in life is to destroy things with his teeth. He's very methodical about it; he'll chew and chew and chew, targeting the object's weakest points, until all that remains is a littering of coin-sized remnants. He even started to make progress on his heavy duty black Kong within about a week.
By the time he was about 8 months old, we figured out that the only toys he can be left alone with are the ones made by Nylabone. He has all their models: dinosaurs, rings, small bones, and branches. These Nylabone toys are a hard plastic that chips off in tiny little shards. He's happy because he feels like he's making progress (even though it takes him a long time to do so) and we're happy because the toys last a relatively long time and he can't swallow anything that might hurt him. He does leave tiny plastic shavings on the carpet, but we have to vacuum a lot anyways because of his fur, so it's not a big deal.
Of all his Nylabone toys, this is the best (and probably his favorite of the bunch). He really likes the size - just right for him to prance around with and show off. Although he's had it for four months, it's still smooth enough in the middle that we can hold it for him comfortably, and it's retained its original shape (unlike dinosaur and branch). If we could just train him not to drop this on our feet when he wants attention(it weighs a few pounds and has gotten a bit pokey on the ends)this would be the perfect toy.

Cute squeaky toy, good price.

These little squeaky toys are one of my yorkie pups favorite. Being latex they are last longer than the material ones. Good price for the 3 pack.
