Der Emscherkunstweg umfasst aktuell 23 Kunstwerke im öffentlichen Raum entlang des Flusses Emscher mitten im Ruhrgebiet. Zwischen 2010 und 2016 begleiteten drei Emscherkunst-Ausstellungen diesen ökologischen Kraftakt. Die daraus hervorgegangen permanenten Kunstwerke bilden seit 2019 den Ausgangspunkt für die Erweiterung zum Emscherkunstweg. Dieser Band bietet erstmals einen Überblick aller Arbeiten des Emscherkunstwegs, insbesondere der neuen Werke von Julius von Bismarck/Marta Dyachenko, David Jablonowski, Markus Jeschaunig, Sofía Táboas und Nicole Wermers. Darüber hinaus widmet er sich Fragen zur Erhaltung und dem Potenzial von Kunst im öffentlichen Raum ebenso wie ihrem Verhältnis zur Industriekultur. Das Buch ist idealer Reisebegleiter und Nachschlagewerk für die Entdeckung der Kunst auf über 100 Kilometern Radweg.Dieses Buch ist auch auf Deutsch erhältlich.
Der Emscherkunstweg ist eine Kooperation zwischen Urbane Künste Ruhr, Emschergenossenschaft und Regionalverband Ruhr (RVR). Das Projekt wurde von 2019 bis 2023 als permanentes Angebot neu konzipiert und erweitert. Der Emscherkunstweg wird gefördert vom Ministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen.

Great debut from Kodama Tales

Quality wise the book is top notch. The paper is thick with basically zero bleed through, and on top of that the color pages are included as well. As this is my first time reading Baki I can't give a comment on the wider story, but what's contained in this volume is some solid dumb fun.

I've faithfully followed Living the Line's Smudge manga releases up to this. Actually I had this one preordered for ages but Amazon never shipped it to me and I only noticed it was in stock by chance. I had to cancel and reorder it. What the heck, Amazon?
Anyhow, it's definitely a horror story but also a species of superhero story, or at least a person-with-superpowers story, without the encumbrances of lore, heavy character- or world-building, a continuing narrative in a shared universe, or anything else. There's really nothing you could call a plot. Stripped down and even rough as it is, it's utterly engrossing, surreal reading for me.
A lot of my manga reading is horror but I've also been enjoying superhero manga like this or, for example, Hikari-Man FAR more than anything from the Big Two because of the greater freedom the Japanese works exhibit in how they conceptualize power(s) and heroism.
