Besonderes Highlight: Ab der Saison 2018 ist die uvex sportstyle 706 CV Teil der uvex colorvision® Kollektion. Mit den colorvision® Scheiben bietet uvex eine neue Dimension von Farbbrillanz und Kontrast. Diese beiden Faktoren sind vor allem beim Sport ausschlaggebend für Reaktionsvermögen, Leistungsfähigkeit und Sicherheit. Bei den uvex colorvision® Scheiben wird einfallendes Licht an der Scheibe gebündelt und die Wahrnehmung verstärkt.
uvex entwickelte drei Scheiben für drei verschiedene Einsatzbereiche: Mountainbiken/Bergsport, urbane Umgebung und den Alltag. Individuell abgestimmt auf die jeweilige Szenerie liefern die Scheiben ein brillantes Seherlebnis und eine detailreiche Wahrnehmung.

Die uvex sportstyle 706 CV ist in allen drei Scheibenvarianten erhältlich:

  • „Outdoor“: Für Mountainbiker – verbessert den Braun-Grün-Kontrast und die Tiefenwahrnehmung im Gelände. So wird beispielsweise der Kontrast vom Trail zur umliegenden, grünen Landschaft um bis zu 45 Prozent verstärkt.
  • „Urban“: Für den Stadtverkehr – der graue Farbfilter verstärkt den Rot-Grau-Kontrast und hilft dabei Leuchtsignale wie Ampeln oder Bremslichter schneller zu erkennen. Straßenschilder heben sich bis zu 23 Prozent stärker von der asphaltierten Umgebung ab.
  • „Daily“: Für den täglichen Einsatz – der braune Filter lässt die Farben leuchtender erscheinen, selbst bei wechselnden Lichtverhältnissen. Die Kontraste werden vor blauem Himmel um bis zu 48 Prozent verstärkt.

I’d just finished reading Jules Gil-Peterson’s A Short History and felt a little unsatisfied and uncomfortable with all the orientialism. I picked this up and was immediately sure I had the antidote. Bhatt is clear, direct, and uncompromising. She avoids filler and gets right to the heart of things—“how is this not like blackface?” gets dealt with more thoroughly and decisively than I have ever seen it within the first few pages. She reveals the transmisogyny lurking in even nominally queer social and intellectual movements, and also finds pockets of beautiful solidarity and common ground in some surprising places. Above all, her love for women shines through every word. This book cleared up some misconceptions I had, made me cry, and will make me a better partner and comrade to trans women. Buy it.

I'd recommend this for anyone interested in transfeminism, even if you'd already read individual essays from Bhatt's newsletter by the same name. As with the essays in their newsletter format, The Third Sex and The Questions Has an Answer were my favorite. Bhatt's writing has such force and clarity that I look forward to reading whatever she chooses to write about next.
