Edler, handgeflochtener Ledergürtel aus naturfarbenem Leder

Ein guter Gürtel braucht Zeit. Für diesen hier beginnt alles mit feinem, pflanzlich gegerbtem Rindleder aus Italien. Es wird in schmale Streifen geschnitten, jeder einzelne sorgfältig an den Kanten gefärbt und geglättet. Erst dann kann das eigentliche Flechten beginnen – ein Arbeitsschritt, der Geduld und Erfahrung verlangt.

Strang für Strang wird das Leder per Hand verflochten. Die Spannung muss stimmen, der Rhythmus auch. Zu fest – und das Leder verliert seine Elastizität. Zu locker – und der Gürtel verliert seine Form. Am Ende entsteht eine gleichmäßige, geschlossene Flechtung: Kenner erkennen die Handflechtung an der Spitze - diese ist "geschlossen“ und kommt im Gegensatz zu maschinell geflochtener Meterware ohne aufgenähte Spitze aus.

Nach dem Flechten wird das Endteil für die Schließe gefärbt, egalisiert und mit dem offenen, angeschärftem Ende des Flechtriemens sorgfältig verklebt und vernäht.

Die Schließe stammt aus einer kleinen Manufaktur nahe Mailand. Sie besteht aus massivem Messing silberfarben galvanisiert – robust, schlicht und frei von Nickel. In unserer norddeutschen Manufaktur werden alle Teile zu diesem edlen Flechtgürtel zusammengefügt. Erst wenn alles stimmt – Farbe, Spannung, Haptik – verlässt der Gürtel unsere Manufaktur.

Das Ergebnis ist ein Flechtgürtel, der ruhig wirkt, aber viel zu erzählen hat: über echtes Handwerk, gutes Material und Langlebigkeit. Mit der Zeit entwickelt das Leder eine feine Patina – und wird so von Jahr zu Jahr schöner.
