GMT, die Uhr des Reisenden

GMT ist die Abkürzung für Greenwich Mean Time, die Ortszeit des Nullmeridians des gleichnamigen Londoner Bezirks. Dieses Material hat außergewöhnliche physikalische Eigenschaften. Es ist bleifrei, leichter und hat eine bessere Qualität als andere Glaskristalle. Seine Eigenschaften der geringen Dispersion (mit Abbe-Zahlen um die 60) und der geringen Lichtbrechung (≈1,52) in Kombination mit hoher Klarheit machen es perfekt für die Herstellung von hochpräzisen und langlebigen Glasobjekten.

Das Gehäuse

Mit ihrem 39-mm-Gehäuse ist die Nereide GMT sowohl für diejenigen gedacht, die sich von einer der beliebtesten mechanischen Komplikationen verführen lassen, als auch für diejenigen, die sich nach einer Taucheruhr mit ungewöhnlichen Farbkombinationen und speziellen Spiegel- und Glanzoberflächen sehnen, die ein charakteristisches Merkmal dieser neuen Kollektion sind.

Der Gehäuseboden

Der fein gravierte Gehäuseboden feiert die Einführung des 24-Zeitzonen-Systems (zum ersten Mal im Jahr 1884) als globales Referenzzeitsystem, das auf der Greenwich Mean Time basiert. Rund um die Darstellung des terrestrischen Globus sind die wichtigsten Städte der Welt neben ihren jeweiligen Zeitzonen dargestellt.
